He grabbed the chain that was attached to the bull’s nose, wrapped it around his wrist, and gave it a yank to get the bull to move. The bull took off through the corn field, dragging my dad with him.

One story my mother told me was about a time her father (my grandfather) asked her to change the flat tire on the car. He got it fixed, he tried to put the fixed tire back on, but her dad could not get the wheel off. He asked her what she did. She said, “You told me to put it on tight, so I stood on the tire iron to make sure it was tight.” He shook his head at her and got a sledgehammer to hit the tire iron to loosen the lug nuts.
